This weekend, I decided to install on my machine the operating system Linux Mint 14 “Nadia” and one of the things that I missed at the very beginning has been the tool “Ubunut Tweak” which allows easy installation of third party software and configure a lot of hidden features of the Ubuntu-based operating systems.
In this post, we will install the 0.8.4 version of “Ubuntu Tweak” in Linux Mint 14 “Nadia”. To do so, we follow these steps:
1.- Add the repository of Ubuntu Tweak
Open a terminal, and write the following:
# sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/ppa
2.- Update thelist of available packages
We will do it with the classic command:
# sudo apt-get update
3.- Install Ubuntu Tweak
Thenext step is install the tool with the command:
# sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak
4.- Run Ubuntu Tweak
Finally we will run the application through the Linux Mint menu, as shown in the following screenshot:
Clicking the icon will access the application which looks similar to the following screenshot:
